The CNA State Exam is set by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS). This exam is taken after you have completed your course. You must pass the state exam in order to gain certification as a Nurse Aide in Kansas.
To qualify for the state exam, you must complete all coursework, skills hours, clinical hours, and pass your final exam.
The CNA State Exam is 100 multiple choice questions.
A passing score is 75% or above, so you can miss up to 25 questions.
There is a two-hour time limit. The average time to complete is one hour.
You get three attempts to pass within one year of your course start date.
Your first attempt is included in your course price if you test at Allied.
You must arrive on time. You should arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes early to get checked in and shown to your seat.
You must bring a government-issued photo identification with you to the exam. KDADS requires us to verify your identity to sit for the exam. This can be a driver’s license, passport, travel visa, state ID card, or military ID card.
