  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

    Career Pathway step #1 - CNA is our recommended starting point for beginning your career in healthcare. CNA is a common prerequisite for becoming a Medical assistant, nurse, or other higher license and certification.

  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

    Career pathway step #2 - CMA is our recommended second step in advancing your career in healthcare. This certification allows you to pass medications and comes with additional career opportunities. CMA is also a pre-requisite for our Certified Medical Assistant Credential stacking course.

  • Phlebotomy Technician

    Career pathway step #3 - Phlebotomy is our recommended third step in advancing your career in healthcare. This certification will allow you to work in a laboratory or hospital setting and offer opportunities for increased wages and benefits. Phlebotomy is also a prerequisite for our Certified Medical Assistant Credential Stacking course.

  • EKG Technician

    Career Pathway Step #4 - EKG is our recommended fourth step in advancing your career in healthcare. This certification will allow you to work in a Clinic or hospital setting and offers opportunities for increased wages and benefits. EKG is also a prerequisite for our Certified Medical Assistant Credential Stacking course.

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

    Career Pathway Final Step - The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant is the final step in our allied health career pathway. This nationally recognized program allows you to work anywhere nationwide and offers some of the highest compensation and benefits available in the allied health profession.

  • CMA -Update Online

    Certified Medication Aides in Kansas must update through 10 hours of continuing education every two years as required by KDADS. This online course satisfies this requirement. The student will learn updates on techniques, procedures, and/or new medications.

  • CNA - Skills Recertification

    This is a one-on-one checklist for those CNAs whose Nurse Aide Certifications have expired. The student will meet with one of our RNs to review skills and concepts. Once complete we will submit the checklist to the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services, and the CNA will be reinstated on the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (CPR)

    The American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers course provides the foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest. Students will learn current best practices for CPR and using an AED (automatic external defibrillator). Many employers require BLS Certification for employment.

  • Medical Administrative Assistant

    Medical administrative assistants (also called medical office assistants or medical secretaries) are critical in keeping healthcare offices running smoothly and also play an important role in the patient experience.

  • Pharmacy Technician

    In this online course, students will learn how to receive prescriptions from patients and doctors, measure, package, and label prescriptions, establish and maintain patient records, process payments and insurance claims, and manage inventory.

  • IV Therapy Certification

    This course for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) combines instruction and practical experience in advanced aspects of the professional nursing practice of intravenous therapy. IV Certification is not part of the LPN curriculum in Kansas and is greatly desired by employers.

  • Adult Care Home Operators

    This course is designed for those wishing to provide administrative oversight for an Assisted Living or Home Plus Facility in Kansas with no more than 60 beds. Upon completing this course, students will be eligible to apply to be registered as Adult Care Home Operators through the Kansas Dept. for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS).

  • Restorative Aide

    Restorative Aides are used in nearly every nursing home, skilled facility, and rehabilitation unit. While working with the therapy department, Restorative Aides help carry out a plan of exercises to maintain a resident’s independence with Activities of Daily Living. 

  • Home Health Aide (HHA)

    Home Health Aides assist with various tasks, including dressing, ambulation, bathing, housekeeping, and laundry in a home setting. Home Health Agencies or Hospice Care Providers employ Home Health Aides. CNA is a prerequisite for this course.

  • Social Service Designee & Activities Director

    The Social Services Designee (SSD) and Activity Director are separate State certifications that we have combined into one course due to their short clock hour requirements and similar course material.

  • DOT Collections Certification

    This course is only for drug analysis and urine collection, not alcohol. As a Department of Transportation urine specimen collector, you will instruct and assist donors at a collection site. DOT urine specimen collectors receive and inspect the specimen provided by those donors and initiate and complete the Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form (CCF).

  • Medical Terminology

    Medical terminology is the language used in healthcare to communicate with one another. This course is organized by the human body systems, where students will analyze and interpret the root words and how prefixes and suffixes change those.

  • Human Growth and Development

    This course gives an overview of the human development from birth through later life focusing on social, cognitive, spiritual, and personality development and how these changes are influenced through the process of growth and development.

  • Anatomy and Physiology

    This course is a study of the human structure, function, and interdependence of the body systems, including cells, tissues, and organs and how these functions are interrelated though the human body systems in regulating and maintaining homeostasis.

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    (Pending KSBN approval) this comprehensive, 10-month hybrid program is designed for focused, disciplined adults. Two to three days each week of in-house learning and 10 to 16 hours of online coursework completed at home. Critical judgment skills are taught through various hands-on training methods, including case studies, virtual reality goggles, simulation labs, and other techniques.

    This event is for scheduling both Allied Student state certification exam reschedules as well as interstate or reschedule testers approved by KDADS to sit for the exam at this test site.
