Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
-
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course is an advanced, evidence-based training program designed for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This course follows the American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS guidelines, emphasizing high-quality CPR, effective team dynamics, and the systematic approach to adult cardiac emergencies.
Participants will build upon foundational life support skills and apply advanced concepts in cardiac rhythm recognition, pharmacology, airway management, and post–cardiac arrest care. Through a combination of interactive instruction, case-based scenarios, and hands-on skills practice, learners will develop the critical thinking and leadership skills necessary to manage complex resuscitation situations in real-world clinical settings.
The ACLS course focuses on early recognition and intervention for conditions such as acute coronary syndromes, stroke, bradycardia, tachycardia, and cardiac arrest, while reinforcing the importance of clear communication and coordinated team response. Successful completion demonstrates the learner's ability to integrate ACLS algorithms into patient care while adhering to current AHA standards.
Upon completion of the course requirements, participants will be eligible to receive an American Heart Association ACLS Provider certification, valid for two years.
