This course teaches basic nursing skills, such as taking vital signs and assisting residents with tasks such as dressing, bathing, eating, and walking.

Nurse Aides work in nursing homes, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.

Provide a current, government-issued photo identification card (driver’s license, passport, etc.)

There is no age restriction

This is a part-time course that consists of 90 hours

Theory/Didactic: 45 hours

Skills Lab: 20 hours

Clinicals: 25 hours

Private pay (non-sponsored student) balances must be paid in full prior to the course start date. A non-refundable registration fee deposit is due at the time of enrollment to hold your seat. That deposit is applied to your course price.

Students sponsored by one of our community partners: DCF, Workforce, City of Wichita, Facility sponsors, or other funding sources are exempt from this. Each sponsor will be invoiced accordingly. Students will be given the opportunity to select this payment type when completing the online enrollment form.

Once you’ve passed the CNA state exam, you will be added to the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry. This is where you and your employer will check your status as a CNA.
