Phlebotomy Tech Training

  • Phlebotomy Technicians work in a variety of settings, such as labs and clinics.

In this course, students will learn how to draw blood from patients and blood donors, explain procedures, perform basic point of care testing, and maintain medical equipment.

Many employers require a professional certification. We are partnered with the National Healthcareer Association to host the NHA certification exam on-site.

To assist students in getting the required amount of practice to qualify to take the NHA exam, students are encouraged to bring adult volunteers for practicing blood draws on scheduled stick days. All volunteers must be 18 years of age and sign a consent and release of liability form.

Upon course completion, and if the necessary requirements are met, students will be eligible to sit for the optional Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam through the NHA.

    • Students must be 18 years of age to enroll in this course.

    • Students must have a high school diploma or GED to sit for the optional NHA certification exam.
