Canvas - Online Learning Platform
We use the learning management software "Canvas" as a platform for providing assignments, lectures, quizzes, tests and also to provide an easy and effect way to communicate with your instructor by using video chats, assignment reviews and message boards. Canvas helps bridge the gap from the classroom to your room with a downloadable application available for both android and IOS. Canvas tutorials are readily available on YouTube or by clicking the "Canvas Orientation" button below. All Hybrid classes will start with an In-house orientation. Online only classes will have an Online orientation provided. These orientations are vital for each and every student. Information such as, class expectations, assignment instructions, best practices for communication and general knowledge on the function of canvas will be provided in these videos. We want to make it a point that we care, and part of that is helping our students find jobs that fit their lives! Renee Carrion is our Career and Leadership Services Director. Her goal is to make sure you have access to the resources you need to find employment. Her office is located inside the Workforce Center of Kansas at 2021 N Amidon Ave #1100 in Wichita so that she can work face-to-face with those that need help most. Student Grievance Form
If you are a student current or previous and have a grievance involving Allied Health Career Training, LLC, please fill out out our "Grievance Form" to insure that you are heard. This form will go directly to Allied administration to be immediately investigated. Following investigation, Allied administration will reach out to you with question and further communication involving the reported grievance. We want to make it a point to provide the very best customer service and we cant do that if we are not in touch with our students, so please inform us of any grievence you may have.

HOW LONG ARE YOUR COURSES?
Each course has its own clock hour requirements. Check specific course descriptions for length of each course.
HOW DO I ENROLL IN A COURSE?
Enrollment in any of our courses may be completed either in our Enrollment Office during business hours, or online at our website: www.alliedhealthcareertraining.com. As our class sizes are limited, course enrollment is on a first come/first served basis.
WHAT AGE REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO ENROLL IN A COURSE?
Each course has different age requirements, please see our course descriptions for specific course requirements and information.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO ORIENTATION?
Nothing. Our Courses are all-inclusive and we mean it.
DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL STUDENT AID?
Allied Health Career Training does not offer financial student aid at this time, although we do provide payment plans. Most of our courses are priced so that our students won't have to take on expensive student loans with high interest rates just to get their education.
DO YOU OFFER CLOCK HOUR TRANSFERS?
Allied Health Career Training does not offer clock hour transfers at this time.
DO I HAVE TO PAY IN FULL TO REGISTER?
No, you can enroll in our courses by paying a non-refundable registration fee of $100 up front and you can then make payments on the balance. Balances must be paid in full prior to course completion, with the exception of Massage Therapy, Pharmacy Tech, and Medical Assistant. These courses have the option of extended payment plans beyond the end date of the class.
IF I SIGN UP AND DECIDE LATER NOT TO START THE COURSE, CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK?
If you withdraw prior to the start of a course, you will be refunded all monies paid, minus a $100 non-refundable registration fee. Any refund owed is calculated per our published refund policy which follows Kansas Board of Regents guidelines.
IF I START A COURSE AND DROP, CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK?
Once a course withdrawal form is completed and handed in by the student, any refund owed is calculated per our published refund policy which follows Kansas Board of Regents guidelines.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I TAKE A COURSE AND FAIL?
We want all of our students to succeed. Should you fail a course your instructor will discuss options with you, such as tutoring or retaking the course.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS OR CLINICAL DAY?
If you miss, or are going to miss a class or clinical day you must contact your instructor as soon as possible to discuss options. At times, instructors are able to schedule a make-up session, but this is not always guaranteed due to time restraints. Students are responsible for paying any make-up session fees and all make-up sessions are scheduled by the instructor at their discretion. A make-up session does not necessarily guarantee that the student will be able to finish the class at the time specified in the course syllabus. Many of our courses are regulated by the State of Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services. These course hours are mandated and students must complete all hours in order to complete the course.
IF I AM UNABLE TO FINISH A COURSE BUT STILL WISH TO COMPLETE AT A LATER DATE WHAT DO I DO?
Students may transfer from an enrolled course to the same course type at a later time. The future course must be within three months, or, if no course is available within three months, then the next available course date. The student may transfer only one time, and must be requested within thirty days of the original course withdrawal date. Student transfers are charged a non-refundable administrative fee of $25.00. This fee may be added to the student’s balance owing but must be paid before the student is allowed to complete the course. The student must inform the Enrollment Office in order to complete the transfer.
AM I ABLE TO TAKE MORE THAN ONCE CLASS AT A TIME?
Students may take as many courses as they wish, provided that none of the scheduled class times overlap.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO WEAR TO ATTEND CLASS?
With the exception of clinical days, students may wear street clothes to class. During the clinical portion of the course students must wear scrubs and shoes with closed toes and heels. Students will be supplied one set of scrubs (shirt and pant) during class, prior to the scheduled clinical days.
HOW DO I GET A COPY OF MY TRANSCRIPT?
Students may obtain a copy of their transcripts by contacting our office at (316) 854-3892 or by sending an email with the request to email@example.com.
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR THE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE?
Allied Health Career Training will refund the student 100% of Tuition ONLY (not including other fees) if the student does not pass the state certification examination for the corresponding course taken. To qualify, the student must be enrolled in CNA, CMA, or HHA, and must participate, attend, and pass all classroom and clinical material. The student must make all allowable attempts to pass the state board exam (3 attempts as allowed by KDADS for CNA, 2 attempts for CMA & HHA). The student must schedule and complete tutoring provided by ACHT staff, free of charge, after any failed attempt.
